A subversive gesture tends to jostle, to tip to gently collapse the established order.
My intention is to hustle the status and value of the object in order to set up a silent protest through materials and forms. The unfinished (incomplete) is recurrent, it is the pretext and the principle used to build the prototypes. 
A preparatory research about portraits, in the form of surrealist collages, makes it possible to apprehend the way that we look at things. As abstract as it may seem, we seek or always want to make sense of what we do not understand.

SIGN

    Sign because these objects are symbolic, they are also paradoxically iconoclastic. Everything is fake and artificial. The threads are not cut, they are visible. Gold and pearl beads as well as gold buttons are not made of precious materials. Everything is image and contemplation. The accessory is useless and unusable. It’s primary function has been accomplished, these ephemeral objects have contained a commodity. The bag has a fixed prescription of use: «to consume quickly». It is not meant to be repaired, it becomes unique and not functional. The straps suggest and simulate a possible use as a bag but the object is too fragile. The absurdity of the situation refers to our fast and uncompromising consumer habits. This bag is only an imitation, it is an object that simulates another, hence the ambiguity of its status. It has only the appearance of the object of which it is named after.

INSTALLATION

A duplication which is the representation of the representation (real object, printing, photography and projection).
